Calidora Skin Clinic Opens New Location in Seattle's University Village

New skin care clinic leading the way in the rapidly growing anti-aging cosmetic industry

Some 110 million baby boomers are aging, fueling the $17 billion skin care industry. Science has not yet discovered the Fountain of Youth, but it's getting closer. Calidora Skin Clinic, opening October 15 at University Village , is leading a national trend that applies scientific approaches to anti-aging. Using laser technologies, advanced skin rejuvenation treatments, and dermo-corrective skin care products, Calidora offers clients a new, non-surgical path to youthful, healthy and vital looking skin that, in many cases, visibly rolls back the clock.

“We focus on client education and skin care results,” says Colette Courtion, president and CEO of Calidora Skin Clinics, Inc. “Scientific advances in skin care treatments allow us to help clients visibly reduce the signs of age and sun damage. We provide them with the information and treatment options they need to see dramatic results.”

Courtion and her staff know how to deliver a quality experience. Having spent over six years at Starbucks, Courtion learned what it means to exceed customer expectations. Calidora's medical staff of physician assistants, advanced registered nurses, and nurses lead by Dr. Richard A. Baxter, a board-certified plastic surgeon, together with the professional staff of clinical estheticians has decades of experience in skin care and cosmetic dermatology.

“We are all passionate about skin,” says Courtion. “We aim to improve the skin's overall tone and texture, leaving it supple and smooth.'” Calidora also strives to provide a warm, inviting, spa-like environment. “The result,” adds Courtion, “is a surprisingly pleasant and informative experience for our clients.”

Calidora features its exclusive Calidora Skinplan, a comprehensive complexion analysis process using sophisticated photo imaging and laser technology to understand the composition of the skin, combined with a team of skin experts that analyze the information to develop personalized in-clinic treatment plans and at-home product regimens for their clients.

Calidora carries dermo-corrective products from leading, physician-formulated skin care manufactures, such as G.M. Collin, SkinMedica, Kinerase, and Cosmedical, and offers in-clinic treatments under four basic categories of care:

  • The Essentials: Gentle, but effective facial treatments designed to enhance the look and feel of your skin.
  • Skin Deep: Non-ablative, resurfacing peels and dermabrasion to improve the texture and tone of your skin.
  • Laser & Light Therapy: Laser and light therapy treatments to reduce the signs of aging while transforming the appearance and texture of your skin.
  • Skin MD: anti-aging dermal fillers and injections to restore the suppleness and youthfulness of your skin.

Calidora's first clinic opened June 1, 2004 at 10708 Main Street, Suite 310, Bellevue , WA . Its new 2,500 sq. ft. clinic in University Village in Seattle, opens October 15, 2005.
