AAA Bellevue Brings Back Packing Expert, Anne McAlpin

Ever found yourself on a vacation wearing an embarrassingly wrinkled outfit? World traveler, Anne McAlpin, will demonstrate how to correctly pack clothing to eliminate wrinkles, along with many other useful travel tips at a series of free workshops sponsored by AAA's Bellevue office.

During McAlpin's workshops, she will demonstrate unique ways to utilize household objects to prevent over-packing or under-packing. For instance, she recommends using 35mm film canisters for everything from shampoo to safety pin holders. Along with packing tips, McAlpin offers a broad array of travel expertise such as ways to keep kids occupied during long road trips. For example, she suggests placing a cardboard box between children for a writing surface and to give them their own space.

“Anne offers such wide array of innovative ideas that many people attend her events multiple times, which is why we decided to bring her back,” said Clara Pellham, AAA Bellevue Service Center manager.
