Nolan Newman Launches CPA Firm

Nolan Newman, who has 19 years experience as a certified public accountant, has launched his own accounting firm focused on the tax, accounting, and planning needs of owner-operated businesses, individuals, and healthcare organizations and professionals.

Newman has worked as a partner specializing in healthcare for Arthur Andersen in South Africa, Orange County, Calif., and Seattle, and as a tax principal specializing in healthcare, mergers and acquisitions, restructures, executive compensation, tax planning, and federal and state tax issues for Clark Nuber PS in Bellevue, Wash. In addition, he has served as chief financial officer for a private holding company.

Newman has used his expertise in tax and accounting to help clients succeed in growing their businesses. Now it's time for Newman to use that expertise to start and grow his own business. He brings with him years of experience working with such clients as Children's Hospital and Medical Center, Overlake Hospital Medical Center, Legacy Health Systems, Oregon Health Services University, Providence Health System and the University of Washington to successfully launch Nolan A. Newman, PLLC.

“Helping clients achieve their business objectives is one of the most enjoyable aspects of serving as a professional advisor,” Newman says. “To me, professional excellence means providing outstanding technical advice that addresses the client's specific business opportunity or problem. Blending the knowledge and expertise gained from years of experience working in large- and small-firm environments enables me to provide balanced professional advice.”

Newman, who lives with his family in Bellevue and will practice in Seattle, enjoys golf, tennis, backpacking, theater and art. He is a board member of Provail, a Seattle non-profit organization supporting people with disabilities, and Herzl Ner-Ner Tamid Congregation on Mercer Island. He is a member of the finance and audit committees of Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue. Newman is a licensed CPA in Washington, Oregon and California, and is a member of AICPA, WSCPA and HFMA Washington/Alaska.
